Success Story

Milan possessed a natural talent for creative problem-solving. In the months leading up to his sophomore year, when his mother needed assistance bringing in heavy groceries from the garage, Milan contemplated ways to transport them more efficiently. Through careful research and innovation, he constructed an autonomous robot using household materials, including a hoverboard and commercially available electronic components. His creation proved to be a valuable asset for handling routine household chores.

Upon joining Empowerly, Milan’s counselor helped him expand on his robotics work by exploring connections between autonomous vehicle technology, software development, and global food security concerns related to population growth. This guidance led to Milan securing an internship with NASA’s Autonomy Testbed for Exploration Research and Simulation (OceanWATERS) software team during the summer before his final year of high school.
